Eszter Guba is a Spanish-Geography teacher. She lives in Szeged, Hungary, though she is in daily contact with the Spanish language, as she works with Spanish colleagues in a Hungarian-Spanish bilingual program. Moreover, she mentored them for many years, supporting their integration into Hungarian life and professional development. Throughout her mentoring and teaching experience, it became increasingly clear to her that behind a student's academic struggles or negative behaviour patterns, there are often personal and psychological factors at play. This realization led her to delve deeper into this field, where I discovered and experienced that cognitive behaviour, including learning and thinking processes, is significantly influenced by emotions, personality traits, and the presence of so-called soft skills. Mental health support, cognitive behavioural therapy, and coaching tools have become an integral part of her daily life. Seeing the positive outcomes of this approach, she is now eager to share her experiences in this area with her colleagues as well.

Eszter Guba y es profesora de español y geografía. Vive en Szeged, Hungría, aunque mantiene un contacto diario con el idioma español, ya que trabaja con colegas españoles en un programa bilingüe húngaro-español. Además, durante muchos años los ha mentorizado, apoyando su integración en la vida húngara y su desarrollo profesional. A lo largo de su experiencia como mentora y profesora, le quedó cada vez más claro que detrás de las dificultades académicas de un estudiante o de patrones de comportamiento negativos, a menudo hay factores personales y psicológicos. Esta comprensión la llevó a profundizar en este campo, donde descubrió y experimentó que el comportamiento cognitivo, incluyendo los procesos de aprendizaje y pensamiento, está influenciado significativamente por las emociones, los rasgos de personalidad y la presencia de las llamadas „soft skills”. El apoyo a la salud mental, la terapia cognitivo-conductual y las herramientas de coaching se han convertido en una parte integral de su vida cotidiana. Al ver los resultados positivos de este enfoque, ahora está deseosa de compartir sus experiencias en este ámbito también con sus colegas.
