This course blends practical indoor workshops with restorative outdoor activities to explore the core practices of professional wellbeing. You will learn powerful communication skills and mindful techniques that will enhance your ability to manage stress, sharpen your focus, and build your resilience. We will dive into key areas like emotional intelligence, assertive communication, and developing a growth mindset, using nature itself as a tool to unlock your creativity and wellbeing. Aims and objectives:

This practical course aims to equip you with a toolkit for building a sustainable and joyful teaching career. Our primary objective is to help you create a personalized wellbeing plan, using both indoor and outdoor practices to support yourself and your students. We will explore how to use assertive communication to set healthy boundaries and manage conflict constructively, and how to develop a growth mindset that turns challenges into opportunities. The goal is to provide you with long-term self-care strategies, better time management skills, and a renewed sense of professional fulfillment, so you can build a classroom atmosphere of positive, focused energy.

Day 1: Foundations of Wellbeing and Awareness: The Five Senses Icebreakers and warm-up games. Dimensions of wellbeing for educators. What is Fjaka and how can we apply it? Sensory walk close to nature, followed by group discussion and reflection. Personal wellbeing check-in, love languages, reflective tasks, and small-group sharing
Day 2: Empathy, Active Listening, and a Coaching Mindset: Hearing The role of active listening and empathy in educational and professional relationships. Coaching principles Practicing active listening outdoors, focused feedback. Exercises using coaching cards Exploring values and goals, creating a vision for the future.
Day 3: Communication and Emotional Intelligence: The Heart and Voice/Speech Connecting with nature to enhance focus and creativity. Non-verbal communication. Understanding emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, social skills) from the perspective of teachers and students. Using visual tools. Assertive communication, setting boundaries, and conflict management – with role plays and feedback.
Day 4: Growth Mindset, Creativity, and Mindfulness: Sight, Smell, and Taste Mindfulness in nature and community spaces. Fixed vs. growth mindset, creativity-supporting techniques using natural materials. Flow experience, focus, and efficiency. Awareness practices and reflection in the spirit of sustainability.
Day 5: Time Management and Work–Life Balance for Wellbeing Conscious use of space and environment for active learning. Wellbeing in physical spaces. Time management techniques, setting priorities, mindful stress reduction. Coaching techniques and tools. The GROW Model. Developing a personal action plan and long-term self-care strategies. What did I learn this week? Preparation for dissemination – 5-minute presentation by each participant Course evaluation and feedback Certificates and certificates of attendance
